The upper roller can be used as a traditional bending machine. Which can achieve the cylinder alignment, in the same way, the thick plate cone can be achieved through several times rolling combining Siemens PLC.

The particular configuration of this design provides for the plate bending rolls to move independently by hydraulic cylinders. The top roll moves vertically; the bottom rolls move horizontally – and are rotated by integrated planetary gearboxes with hydro-motors. This allows for optimal central distance between the bottom rolls and the distance between the bending points offering immense advantages. 

  • For thin plates, the roll span can be drastically reduced, generating excellent traction, and avoiding driving slippage and spring-back. 
  • The bending span can be significantly increased for thick plates, thus reducing the bending load and plate deformation. 
  • Additionally, bottom rolls can be moved independently from each other and can be placed asymmetrically to achieve high-quality edge bending.

  • Whole of the Plate roller machine includes the upper roller, the upper roller lifting device, the nether roller. The upper roller horizontal moving device, the supporting roller, the main driving device and the left and right side frame, the bottom basin and the balance device.  The upper roller includes main oil cylinder, upper roller bearing seat, upper roller and double row adjustable center bearing.
  • The main oil cylinder and piston rod are all 45# forging, and the piston rod plate with Cr. The sealing element adopts Y axis type sealing ring imported from Japan. The piston rod of the main cylinder connected with the bearing seat of the upper roller.
  • The upper roller designed to a drum shaped. Generally, the load coefficient of the upper roller pressure is 0.7. The roller hardness processing steps divided into two steps, the tempering and hardening hardness is HB240-280 and surface medium frequency quenching HRC45-52, as shown in the figure:
  • The two ends of upper roller equipped with double row center-adjustable bearing

Feeding

Lifting the upper roller make the distance between lower busbar and the upper busbar of lower roller a little larger than the plate thickness then feed the plate horizontally until the end of the plate in full contact with the baffle on the side of the working roller for alignment.

Pre bending 

Moving the upper roller according to rolling requirement and adjust the lower roller to make inching and rotate to pre bending the end of the plate according to workpiece the curvature . The length of sheet clamp by upper roller and lower left roller is 1.5-2.5 times than plate thickness ;during the prebend ,the oil cylinder pressure can adjust to 5-20MPA according to different thickness .

Another End pre- bending 

This step is easy just change the roller position then pre bend another end .

Final Bending 

Final bending can divide into several steps, control the upper roller down to the middle position of the plate for the initial bending. Control the lower roller rotation to make the direction of rotation consist with the plate feed direction .

Working principle and design of cnc metal sheet rolling machine according to CE

  • The offloading device used after the round cylinder finished , before leaving the left bearing seat . Raised the upper roller to standard height . And make the upper roller stop with balance pull rod at the bottom of upper roller, then draw out pin shaft on the titling bearing seat . Overturn the tilting bearing seat ,then the coiled product can emerge from one end of the upper roller .

  • The top roller does the movement of elevation in the central position of the two bottom rolls. It’s transmitted by screw nut and worm gear.
  • Two bottom rolls are main drive rolls. They rotate by the meshing between the output gear of the gear box and the bottom roller and supply the torque for bending plate. It’s compact, maintain and very easy to operate. 
  • The lower roller is driven by the main motor through the main reducer. The main reducer output shaft transmits to the two lower rollers through a group of the gear wheel.  The roller driving direction is switched by the main motor

When you operate the cnc sheet metal plate bending machine what should we note ?

  • There must be specified person in charge of roll bending machine.
  • The operator must be familiar with structure, performance and usage of machine.
  • The operator can turn on roller under specified charger agreement.
  • Carefully check the safety system before running machine.
  • Hands and feet are strictly prohibited on rollers, transmission parts and workpieces during processing.
  • After work interruption, should put clutch on neutral position.
  • When several workers collaborate process, must have guider’s command.
  • No overloading.
  • The up-down and rollover of upper roller, the reset of bearing. It also the balance of upper roller, must conduct after main drive close down.
